I entered this image in the Fairfax Clique Photo competition for June, where the theme was “emotion”. This image made it through to the second round, and to the members’ forum voting, however not through to the final selection by judges. There were some great photos there, which in many ways, I think better captured the idea of “emotion”. It’s a tough game, but also, I think, reflects the many and varied ways in which we all see the world and in how we communicate!
Congratulations to Paula Heelan for her winning entry, posted on The Age and Sydney Morning Herald; great image!
The images that made it through to the second round, and to the Clique forum members’ voting are viewable (I think for general public as well) in the following link:
My image isn’t quite an Alfred Eisenstaedt, but I did seize the moment when it presented itself!
