Split Point Lighthouse at sunrise

This weekend saw us in Lorne for the Amy’s Gran Fondo bicycle ride, so I didn’t take many photos, however I did get up early on Saturday morning to capture a stunning red sunrise over Fairhaven and the lighthouse at Split Point. One of the things I love about photography, especially landscape photography, is how the light can change so rapidly and dramatically in such a short time. Even though all these images are of essentially the same location, they each convey quite a different mood and intensity; although I think that the first image is my favourite, with the blood red bleeding into the early morning sky and the lighthouse silhouetted against the red.
