Cycling Australia hired me to capture some images of ‘real’ women cyclists out on their bikes as part of their program they are undertaking with “SheRides”, a group whose remit is to encourage more women – and families – to cycle more. More ‘real’ (non-competitive) cyclists on the roads and paths has so many benefits to our community, from the very real and measurable health benefits of exercise, reduction in motor traffic as more people take to two wheels for commuting and leisure, and the happiness that only cycling brings! I’m starting to see some of these images out there in promotional material for Cycling Australia and SheRides.
